Tahmina Anam (daughter of Mahfuz Anam, editor and publisher of The Daily Star) has been named among the 20 best young
British novelists (who’s aged under 40 and hold a British passport)
of the decade by acclaimed literary magazine Granta (UK-based magazine)
“A Golden Age” - Tahmima’s
first novel won the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize for Best First Book in 2008.
In 2011, “The Good
Muslim,” – her follow-up novel was also nominated in shortlist for the Man Asian
Literary Prize.
Tahmima completed PhD in Social Anthropology from Harvard University
and MA in Creative Writing at Royal Holloway, London.
